The elderly Hakka grandmother who just came here and jammed my mother's screen-door roughly like she was gonna break it (I thought she was my mother going on one of her insane episodes with me, approaching me ...) ... may have thought I were my eldest niece, when she told me "Be good now乖乖喔~!, ... you're always nasty ..."in local ethnic Hakka dialect.

Actually, I like her Hakka dialect. It's the softer kind 洛陽話, like the kind that my biological mother speaks from Miao-Li.

I can understand quite a bit, actually, because I was with my ethnic Hakka maternal grandmother in Miaoli for the first three years of my life. I have inumerous pictures to prove that.

I still continue to recall my ethnic Hakka maternal grandmother speaking to me in Hakka dialect in the summer of 1988 and beyond. I understood what she was saying to me (well, yeah, I was going on to sixth grade at the time, she raised me for three years right? And my biological mother would send money back to her for feeding and raising me. I have pictures to prove).
